CARLOS ZATCH ANNOUNCES NEW JAZZ ALBUM
“LESSONS I KEPT”
OUT SEPTEMBER 18, 2026
A deeply personal collection about heartbreak, gratitude, faith, and the memories that shape who we become.
“An intimate reflection on loss, resilience, and the quiet lessons life leaves behind”
“A cinematic jazz record about the people we lose, the love we carry, and the stories that remain”
August 4, 2026 — Latin jazz singer-songwriter and producer Carlos Zatch announces his upcoming studio album Lessons I Kept, arriving September 18, 2026. The 15-track collection marks a defining chapter in Zatch’s artistic journey, blending traditional vocal jazz with contemporary storytelling, warm instrumentation, and deeply personal lyricism.
Born from moments of change, heartbreak, reflection, and gratitude, Lessons I Kept explores the invisible marks left by relationships, family, faith, and personal growth. Through intimate arrangements and timeless jazz influences, Carlos Zatch transforms life experiences into songs about healing, acceptance, and remembering what truly matters.
“Lessons I Kept is about the things life teaches us when we least expect it” shares Zatch. “The people who leave, the ones who stay, the moments that break us, and the memories that continue to guide us. Every song represents something I carried with me”.
The album features previously released singles alongside new compositions, including “Little Bird” “Lessons I Kept” “False Blood” “Burning Eyes” “I Miss You (Late Night Piano)” and “We Almost Made It”. Each track serves as a chapter in a larger story — from the pain of letting go to the gratitude of looking back.
Recorded and produced by Carlos Zatch, Lessons I Kept showcases his dedication to creating a modern jazz sound rooted in emotional honesty. Combining piano-driven ballads, slow jazz textures, blues influences, and expressive vocal performances, the album reflects his vision of jazz as a language for storytelling.
The record also includes the heartfelt tribute “Thank You, Mom and Dad” a celebration of family and unconditional love, as well as “The Ones Who Taught Me Home” a reflection on the people and places that shape our sense of belonging.
The album concludes with the bonus track “Sabrina Carpenter and I Were Born on the Same Day (Funny Song)” bringing a playful and unexpected moment of lightness to an otherwise deeply reflective collection.
Lessons I Kept follows Carlos Zatch’s previous work, including his 2025 jazz/country album Life Is Pure Art and his Christmas EP ‘Merry Christmas World’. With this new release, Zatch continues building a unique identity as an independent artist dedicated to timeless songwriting, emotional storytelling, and the beauty of jazz.
